Oh, why, hello there!
It's been a while, I know. There's so much things happening lately, earth wobbling included. I mean, how crazy is that?! I was just sleeping one day and when I woke up, astrologers suddenly remember there's a forgotten zodiac and decided to join it on the list of zodiacs. Currently, we have 12 months in a year and it will not take long until someone realizes that people should work for their 13th month pay and decide to add another extra month after December! Now, I'm not even sure if my old Libra sign still works for me. Last time I checked, retrograde was suppose to end Dec 30th of 2010 but when I tried  turning on my laptop last week, it gave a loud beep and it never opened again. Yes, my laptop is in a coma hence the lack of post and I haven't brought it to a laptop doctor yet because what do you know, out of sheer boredom, I decided to bring out my brushes, bought some oil paint and decided to paint, and guess what? I love it! I've never tried oil painting since I was a kid, and most especially after facebook was invented, but after finishing the first piece below I think i have a knack for it. I, myself, was surprised with how my first attempt turned out. I didn't know I have it in me. I'm now thinking of  devoting a time to observe a pro painter at work and try to learn a few stuff here and there like how I discovered halfway through my painting that you do not just use any white paint to prime a canvass like what I did. hehe. I thought  it was smart  (and economical) to use white flat latex paint as primer but after googling 'oil painting', I discovered the wonderful creamy white stuff called Gesso!

I tried applying Gesso over a plank of plywood on my window and voila! I'm now on my second piece!
As of the moment, I'm doing everything in black and white so i don't have to buy a bunch of paint tubes until I figure out how to blend shadow and light properly. I also want to improve my strokes (no pun intended) and learn how to paint/draw hair and hands which turns out to be quite a challenge. With all these being said, I would like to announce that I'm in search of a hot boyfriend who knows how to paint and teach me those  fine strokes of art...

and someone who can stand the smell of Linseed Oil in the room.
