striped vest (inner) Jag Black / striped cardi Levi's / necklace Mono

This is the outfit that didn't make it. Though I like the sizes of stripes from the cardi and the vest in both red and black, the humid air last night made me sweaty even before I stepped out of the house.

denim vest H&M / shirt by M Baretto /necklace Mono/ watch Casio / cigs Marlboro Lights

I'm channeling Jap-punk in this photo. I got this shirt from M Baretto, a designer friend. I t resembles a jap flag with names of the cities listed all over it.

Saturday night and I went to see a rock gig to see friends aka "the council." After a few bottles, I went to this gay club in Ortigas to dance, drink and dust. Hung out with Reijiro, a long time friend whom I haven't partied this much in years. Wild night!  Went home at 7am. One of the funnest!

Iif you'd remember my post #000015 on Aloha shirts, say hi to Aloha tie spotted at Gilded Age s/s 2011 runway. The pairing with plaid neutralized it's gawdy feel making it relevant with a hint of tropical touch to casual khaki jacket and jeans.

Meet Alex. The band's guitarist. She's my first lesbo-crush only because she looks like La Roux. Heard she's a Cal carrie model.
She's rocking this silver Levi's jacket.
Random photos from last night. Went to Teatrino in Greenhills for this new band called General Luna. Surprised to see an old (no pun intended) friend  Nino mendoza of Blue Jean Junkies after a long while.

4 reasons why I loooove this picture: It's from Vogue Hommes Japan, it's styled by Matthew Joseph, Givenchy thorn necklace and it's really really fucking amazing!

Oh why, hello there, Jeremy! Jeremy's been a style hero since the day I was awed in his mermaid collection and nothing changed until today. I liked him even more. I've experimented on different styles through the years, i did goth, casual, Topshop-esque but going back to crazy/beautiful with him in mind always put a smile on my face. Good day everyone!

There's an abuse of same print dressing going all over Tokyo now, not to mention this asian dude in Stockholm (above) donning checks head-to-toe. Of course, this is not an ordinary wardrobe staple but what makes this look work incredibly is how they play up with the details. Like how proportion of sizes of Union Jack prints are displayed and star studded vest on checks. It is also important to understand that this "loud" use of pattern is not about a lesson in matching clothes but an exploration on patterns as a walking graphic street art.

hair by Jake Galvez and Buern Rodriguez of Tony Galvez Salon, 9th St., Cubao, QC

I FINALLY DID IT!!!

I spent the whole afternoon at the salon. Bleached my hair twice and dyed it blue. I love how it came out. It made me really happy! I feel Tokyo-fied!

I taped a TV guesting for the show called The Sweet Life later that night. I made friends with the 90's iconic local dance group Universal Motion Dancers. Haha! It was nostalgic to see them dance their old moves again.Brings back memories. I bet it's gonna be a good episode!

This is already 2am and we need to pretend like it's only 5:30pm.

denim tux shirt with bow tie: Levis / grommet necklace: Mono
I finished work just in time to change and attend 2 magazine parties, Mega and Chalk, last night. I just changed my shirt and kept the bottoms. I really loved the shirt I was wearing. It's a tux-style shirt with matching bowtie in the same denim material. It's a bit warm but it looked amazing. In the words of my friend, Matt, "Subtle and sophisticated."  Well, the shirt was, at least. I went home drunk and wasted after having too much Jack Daniels!

chambre button down: Giordano / striped shirt: Tommy Hilfiger/ Scarf: marc by MJ

This is my second "what i wore" tagged as "me" and I plan to update this as often as I could. My yaya is learning how to use my camera now and i hope she gets as better as Steven Klein or Juergen Teller in time.

This is my first time to wear khakis in ages and it reminded me why they called it Relaxed Fit. Unlike my usual skinny pants, I can actually feel my legs' blood circulating. This is like a lookbook.nu moment- Chambre + blue striped shirt + khaki + DM. Neckpiece is actually a striped skinny scarf I got years ago which I made into a fabric neckpiece.

Mental note: collect rock shirt! they don't go out of style and the older it gets the better it looks.

"A known trait for Jeremy Scott is his use of bright hues; this is not the case for his Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Scott decided to add his design aesthetic to the adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott yet he only use achromatic colors in his works. Signature Jeremy Scott symbols such as a crucifix, wings, and enlarged Trefoil logo can be witnessed through his fall/winter 2010 Lookbook. Scott adds his signature “wings” to the back of hoodies, modifies the adidas Trefoil logo by giving it a dripping effect, and contemporary alterations to his pieces. "
Blah blah blah.
My point really is" I WANT TO OWN THEM ALL! Never mind if they're warm, hence they're called sweatpants, duh. I just need to have them in my closet only if I could afford them. I like the winged sweats best.

these are my new outfit pegs. I'm slowly saying bye bye to goth/rick owens trend which everyone who tries to look "individual" are sporting. Little did they know, they all look the same. Haha. The thing I like about the Japs street style is that they do not follow off the runway looks. You see them having fun with fashion. Exploring layers, silhouettes, colors and mixing opposite ideas to create a unique personalized character. Last saturday my friend asked me if I want to go to tokyo 'coz she knows someone who could help us with the visa is on and all. And the plane fare is like Php 8K only! cheaper than going to Davao or any part of the Philippines. I thought she was just joking. When I asked her about it again this morning, she said the sale is over. Darn.

kinda old but still relevant. The metallic Margiela moto-jackets are simply a classic.

#000038

I have never worn sweat pants since P.E. class in college simply because I find them too sporty, warm and has awkard pockets.  But lately, I've been contemplating on owning a pair. These Jeremy Scott ones are cute but these may not available here so I think I'm settlin for the solid colored ones and I might just jazz them up a bit. We are not talking nylon sweats here, okay.
