No offense meant for the Maison, its just that... I need one asap and the only way i could have it for a couple of hundred bucks is to buy a liter of Latex paint and thrift a suit. So sorry. :(
Well not really, coz I like how it turned out. It has a gloss finish which kinda resembles leather but the suit turned stiff from the thick coat of paint that it could stand on its own. And I'm not sure if I'd be able to wear it, so we're quits.

 San Antonio, represent!

I'm gonna share this to you because I think they're cool. These graffitis can be seen in  Santol Street in San Antonio Village, Makati. It's a small alley from where I live and I always make it a point that I pass by this stretch of wall everyday. Kinda gives me the vibe I need for the rest of the day. What's nice about this wall is that it changes every 2 weeks. These cartoony art is gone now and they changed it into something textual. I'll update this post as soon as I get new photos of the wall.

The royalty prepping up.

Today, I had the rare chance to work with the international portrait photographer Rupert Jacinto who is now compiling portraits for an upcoming book of political royalties around the world which is set to be released on February of next year. For people my age (under 25, ehem), the name would not ring a bell, but for people like Ivana Trump, Princess Chantal of France, Imelda Marcos, and the likes, all have something good to say about him. It's  always very humbling and educational to work with a masterclass such as Mr. Jacinto because there's always a thing or two to learn- be it a technique, a trade secret, or an art. I always love the exchange of ideas and the creative discourse while in the process because this makes the education mutual because you both work on something to achieve a single goal, and that is to create one good photograph. Of course, this could only  work in a non-stereotypically  ego-filled environment. If there's one important thing I learned today, from the subject/model and the photographer, it is humility. Both of them are personalities waaaaay greater than I am (or to some Prada-wearing devils I know) but how the two showed importance to each people in the team is  admirable. I haven't seen that in a while. As some great woman once said: "Humility is the only one the Devil can not imitate."

I got another gift from Jujiin who has just arrived from Tokyo. I was so excited when I received these toys. The shape and size is "just right" and I can't wait to use it. It's called Fag Fog Bar. When I was about to start playing with it (wink wink) I noticed that this tube can be opened so I thought, " oooh  batteries!" But no. The instructions in the bottle are in Japanese so I have no idea what its for. Almost sprayed it on my face thinking it's a freshening water (it's Shiseido). I googled it and here's what I found:

As it turned out, this toy is not really "the" toy I have in mind. Thank you Jujiin, nevertheless. Haha.

update: This thing fucking works! I never go out without wearing a spray net (sorry mother nature) and mousse but the humid air always ruins my 'do. But this, I've worked, walked under the sun, sweat, touched it several times and it's still there. Nice!

I missed posting my regular Tattoo Thursday yesterday so here they are. I took these shots from the Dutdutan event at World Trade Center the day after my Magkaribal shoot. Dutdutan is an annual tattoo convention and it's my first time to be there-at least outside. The queue to entrance is so long and I have a meeting to attend to so i didn't bother going in but I managed to take pictures of some tattooed guys which ranged from fantasy to japanese to tribal to plain scary. As it was my birthday, I was planning to get one, a tradition which I want to start because I had a tattoo done during my birthday last year.

What kept me from not getting inked was 1, I never found the right artist, 2, I haven't thought of any design to connect with my left sleeve and 3, budget. 

Until I saw this guy whose tribal tats caught my interest.I approached him to ask who did his tats. Turned out, he's a tattoo artist and those tribal prints are his own design. He specializes in Traditional Tattoo (hand tapping) and in Tribal Filipino designs which I think a good addition on my left arm. He is based in Boracay but will stay in Manila indefinitely. Until such time I've come up with enough money, I'm gonna contact him. (Cue to friends: tattoo is a good gift idea. not only it will be forever, you will always be remembered and mentioned when someone asks about it, forever. think of it as an eternal publicity move. hehe)
