The reason why I posted the clips above was because I was watching The Social Network again last night and I can't help but love that scene! It was just so damn intense! The Zuckerberg character is so genius and was simply built as someone who has the makings of a billionaire: one great idea, heart of steel, and a strategy.

Who doesn't want a Lanvin? I would go for Lanvin anytime. Lanvin for H&M? It's a different story. I like the video. The clothes are wonderful. The marketing is great. BUT. Don't you think it's a bit last-season-ish? Oh well, doesn't matter right? Dear Santa, I just finished my Christmas wishlist and here they are:

While this blog is in the subject of Gareth Pugh and halloween, I've unearthed this video of Gareth, himself, in a performance video as he puts on several make-up looks that is both fashionable and halloween friendly. Are you ready for the halloween?

End of the world with Modelgeddon!

Versace and LOVE Magazine have collaborated on a short film which depicts an imaginary city featuring four supermodels in ass-kicking characters. The original design was digitally created specifically by director and designer, James Lima, with creative direction by LOVE’s Editor-in-Chief, Katie Grand.-RTT

Jeremy Scott's recent runaway offerinf is short of wow factor. Though  his strong references to the New York City is palpable, I can't help but notice that the pieces of this collection are extensions  of his Adidas collaboration. It was always exciting to see how he translates everyday New York references (fashion sales, meatpacking district/neighborhood butchers, Trash, etc)  into clothes  but the real meat (no pun intended) here are  Scott's slap-in-the-face humor to panty-wearing Gaga. There were shirts and more shirts as if we never had enough but it's true, somehow, that we can never have enough t-shirts that says Trash. And to get us kicked: in the ass:

We've seen Gucci Guilty blazed on fire from the director of Sin City and needless to say, it's hot.
Now comes another shorty  of Dior Homme from Rock and Rollah director Guy Ritchie with Jude Law as the main lead. Makes me wonder if his rendez vous is with that much talked nanny.

rumor has it, it's Lanvin.
Thoughts?

update:

Now that Master Alber spoke, there's no question about it. I like the vision that it is not about dressing for less or knocking off runway designs to pull the price tag low but creating designs that are relatively economical without sacrificing the spirit and fantasy Lanvin is known for. Lest we forget, Lanvin X H&M is not the luxury we dream. It's just an affordable means for many of us to feel closest to the real one.
